The latest features of Adobe Illustrator 2021. Adobe creative cloud recently updated all Adobe applications and software, and one of them that I will discuss is the Adobe Illustrator 2021 version 25.0 feature. Adobe Illustrator is a vector-based graphic design application. You can create any design such as illustrations, logos, posters, and others.

So with this Adobe Illustrator application, it is very helpful for making design work. Actually, there are many design applications that you can use, such as Corel, Photoshop, Canva, and many more. But you must know that not all design applications have the same features. Because on this occasion I will discuss the latest features of Adobe Illustrator 2021, which was released in October 2020 version 25.00.

What are the features of Illustrator 2021?

There are several illustrator features that already exist but are updated again so that users are more comfortable and easy to use. There are also features that are new in illustrator 2021 that previously didn't exist. Just check below. 

Recolor Work

First, there is the name recolor artwork. This feature was previously available, but from Adobe, it was updated to make it even easier to implement and some of the appearances were different from before. 

Illustrator has improved its recoloring feature to help you explore different color variations for your designs. You can now select a color palette from any artwork or image using the Color Theme Picker and apply it to your design. You can also use color variations instantly using predefined colors from the color library or create your own colors using the color wheel. 

Enhanced cloud documents 

The second is enhanced cloud documents. These features are enhancements to Illustrator cloud documents:

• You can now embed an Adobe Photoshop cloud document into an Illustrator document.
• You can easily access previously saved versions of cloud documents, preview, bookmark and revert to older versions if needed.
• You can make your cloud documents available offline.
• You can also save files in the cloud and on your computer if you use the original or original Illustrator from Adobe.

Smart glyph snapping

The third feature is smart glyph snapping.  With this feature, you can use the Position to Glyph feature to position the components of your design work precisely with text borders or glyphs.  Just select the snapping line option and you will see a guide as you move the object around the text. 

Follow this guide to retrieve objects.  You can also drag and position shapes precisely with anchor points in the text.

Align to glyph bounds

You can now align objects precisely with visual glyph borders.  This feature is very useful when you are designing a logo or icon with text that you want to align to the top, center and bottom.

So, those are some of the latest features of adobe illustrator 2021 version 25.0 and of course a very useful feature for designers, especially the recolor artwork feature that can change all the design colors without having to click one by one and want to make it easier.

Adobe Illustrator 2021 v25.3.1.390 Full Version is the latest version of Adobe Illustrator currently available, as of June 22, 2021. Android 12 Beta, The Latest Design Technology of Android

Welcome to the Android 12 Preview, a program that will help you build apps and adjust app compatibility for new versions of Android. The program is available free of charge, and you can get started right away by downloading the Preview SDK and tools.

 

Platform Stability Achievement Stage

 

Android 12 includes a milestone called Platform Stability to help you plan your final test and release. This milestone means Android 12 has reached the final internal and external APIs, final app-side behavior, and the final list of non-SDK APIs. We expect Android 12 to reach Platform Stability in Beta 4 in August 2021. From then on, there will be no further changes affecting your app.

We encourage all app, game, SDK, library, and game engine developers to use the Platform Stability milestone as a target for planning compatibility testing and final public releases. By using Platform Stability instead of the final release, you have a few extra weeks before consumers can receive this new platform on their devices.

 

Preview Phase

For developers, the areas to focus on during the Developer Preview are API input and app compatibility. App compatibility means making sure the current version of your app is correct and can run properly on the new platform.

The Developer Preview version provides an early test and development environment that you can use to try out new APIs, identify compatibility issues in your app, and plan any necessary migrations or features to target new platforms. The input you provide during this time is very important to us. You should also expect some API changes with each of these updates. Please review the migration guide for the steps to making your app compatible with this new platform, then target those platforms when you're ready.

Beta 1 provides you with a more complete and stable Android 12 build and test environment, and it's the first build we're providing to early adopters who have been enrolled in the Android Beta program for several months. During the Beta release period, early adopters will use your app on Pixel devices. So, we recommend watching feedback from these users and releasing compatible updates to address issues, without changing app targeting. This is a good time to start preparing for future app targeting changes.

With Beta 2 and Beta 3, you'll get a more complete and stable build to continue testing and development.

Starting from Beta 4, Android 12 will achieve Platform Stability, which means system behavior and APIs have been finalized. This is the time to begin the final testing and development needed to ensure that a compatible version of the app will be ready for users upon final release to the ecosystem. Android 12 will provide standard API levels for now.

Platform Stability is a great time to shift focus to final compatibility testing and releasing updated apps to downstream users and developers. You can also build apps with final APIs and enhance existing code that uses new APIs or features. You can plan your work with confidence that the platform and API won't change.

From Platform Stability, you can also publish your app to devices running Android 12 at the official API level. After Platform Stability, we recommend publishing to Google Play's alpha and beta tracks first, so you can test your app before distributing it widely through the store.

 

What's included in the Android 12 Preview?

The Android 12 Preview Program includes everything you need to test your existing apps with different screen sizes, network technologies, CPU/GPU chipsets, and hardware architectures.

System images

 

The Android 12 preview includes system images for various Pixel devices that you can use for development and testing. Visit the Download page for an image of the development and test system.

If you don't have a Pixel device, you can develop and test it using the Android Emulator system image. Using Android Studio, download these components via the SDK Manager:

OTA update for Pixel via Android Beta program

 

If you have a Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 4, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 3, or Pixel 3 XL device, you can enroll that device in the Android Beta for the Pixel program to get updates to the over-the-counter (OTA) Android 12 Beta. Once registered, devices will receive regular over the air (OTA) updates for the latest Android 12 builds up to (and including) the final release.

Preview and publish API

The Android 12 preview initially provides development-specific Android systems and libraries that do not have a standard API level. If you want to target new platforms and build with the new Android 12 APIs during this time, you must target the Preview version of Android 12 by setting the existing targetSdkVersion and minSdkVersion in your app to "S" and its grandle compileSdkVersion to "android-S". For more information, read Update the build configuration for Android 12.

 Preview Android 12 provides preview APIs — these APIs will not become official until the final SDK is released on the Stability Platform. This means you can expect API changes from time to time, especially during the Developer Preview phase of the program. We'll provide a summary of the changes with each release of the Android 12 Preview.

Later in Preview, the developer API will be finalized and you can download the official Android 12 SDK into Android Studio, target the official API level, and compile with the official API.

Until the Platform Stability stage is reached, Google Play will prevent publishing apps that target Android 12's official 'S' or API level. When the final SDK is available, you can target the official Android 12 API level and publish your app to Google Play using the alpha, beta, release channels, and production. Meanwhile, if you want to distribute your app to testers targeting Android 12, you can do so by email or direct download from your site at any time.

Windows 365 Ready for OS Streaming Service via Cloud

Microsoft this week launched Windows 365, a cloud-based operating system streaming service for businesses and corporates. The way it works is similar to Google Stadia-style cloud gaming. However, instead of games, users can run and access the Windows 10 or 11 operating system running on one computer via another device by streaming via a browser. The type of device used can be another computer, such as a laptop or tablet, whether based on macOS, iPad OS, Linux, or Android. Workers also don't have to bother bringing their computers home, because they can be accessed from anywhere and directly connect to other devices. Microsoft calls computers with Windows 365 services a new category, namely Cloud PCs.

Windows 365 promises to be able to deliver various applications, tools, data, and settings from office computers, to any device via the cloud. "The state of your Cloud PC will remain the same even if you change devices. You can do the same tasks on a laptop in a hotel room, on a tablet while in the car going to meetings, "wrote Microsoft 365 general manager, Wangui McKelvey, in the announcement.

Furthermore, it is mentioned that Windows 365 uses Azure Virtual Desktop virtualization technology. But the virtualization experience is simplified-all the little details are handled for you, "says McKelvey. Apart from making it easier for workers, Windows 365 also makes it easier for office IT admins by reducing the number of client devices with individual Windows installations. Windows 365/Cloud PC doesn't only support Microsoft apps. Users can also log-in to any application that can run on Windows 10 or 11.

Windows 365 is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2021 in two editions, namely Business and Enterprise. payment using a per-user subscription scheme for the company. The price hasn't been announced yet. The Windows 365 service itself is actually not much different from existing virtualization and remote access technologies, such as Azure Virtual Desktop from Microsoft itself. However, the main point is ease of use and management. "Windows 365 will make a big difference for companies that want to virtualize but can't do it-whether it's too expensive, too complex, or they don't have the expertise to do it," concluded McKelvey.

Plain Style of Samosa Salwar 2021

This is my trial of samosa salwar. To the best of my knowledge this online tutorial for Samosa salwar is the first of its kind. Samosa salwar has two flaps one covering the other. When I started to think about the method of sewing samosa salwar, the first thing that came in to my mind was “Tulip skirt”. Tulip skirt is a wraparound skirt where one flap covers the other. I applied the same method to each leg piece of salwar . The result was good!  Here is the method that I followed.

Preparation of draft (Figure 1)

Waist piece
Draw a rectangle PQRS having side P-S on fold
P-Q= ½ seat +3½ “
P-S =7” for adults and for children ⅟₆th seat +½”
Leg piece
Draw A-B = ½ of P-Q
From B draw a line B-C perpendicular to A-B such that B-C = full length – waist piece length + 1”
From the point C draw line C-D perpendicular to B-C such that D-C =½ ankle round
On the line B-C mark point F such that ⅟₆ th seat round + 1”
From the point F draw a perpendicular line to B-C.
From point A draw a perpendicular line to A-B.
The perpendicular lines drawn from the point A and B meet at point G.
Produce F-G to E such that E-G = 2”
Join E-D.
Join the points E and A by a curved line as shown in figure.
Cut along the lines A-B-F-C-D-E-A and remove the draft.
Using this draft as basis flaps of samosa salwar can be prepared.

Preparation of inner flap  (Figure 2)

Step 1
Place the draft on a folded sheet of paper such that B-C falls on the fold line.
Mark the outline and cut along the outline
Duplicate draft is got
Step 2
Join H-C by a curved line as shown.
Step 3
Cut only the top layer along the line H-C

Open the top layer.
B-H-C is the inner layer which is covered by the upper layer.
A-B-C-D-E-A  is back of the salwar leg piece. You can have pleats at the back or you can leave it plain. I am showing here how to stitch with pleats at the back also.If you do not want to pleat the back you can skip steps 5 & 6.

Join B-D by a curved line as shown and cut along the line.

We use this draft to get front upper flap.
