Rubiah Island is an island located in the city of Sabang, Aceh province, Indonesia. This island is located in the northwest of Weh island, Indonesia. The name Rubiah comes from one of the 44 Aulia (Religious Leaders) who is in the city of Sabang, namely Ummi Siti Rubiah. Rubiah Island is the main destination in Aceh with its extraordinary underwater beauty. This is also the oldest hajj quarantine place in the archipelago, there were only two at that time, the other was in the Thousand Islands Onrust. We can still see the foundations of the former Hajj quarantine until now, and several other buildings such as water reservoirs.
Rubiah Island Attraction
the first time we set foot here, our eyes will immediately be spoiled by the beautiful panorama of nature.
In addition to views of the ocean with clean water wrapped in white sand, there are also several hills with green plants that seem to stand firmly on it. If you comb around the coast, you will also find dozens of small boats passing by waiting for travelers to board them.
Then under the sea, thousands of types of ornamental fish and various species of coral reefs are waiting to be explored. Here you will find types of badu fish, reef fish, blue botana fish, and also kape-kape fish. Of course it would be too much if I had to write them all down. The coral reefs are no less diverse. Here you will find coral reefs of various colors, starfish, to sea anemones. Everything will add to the lively activities of exploring your marine park later.
